In The Sport.
Minnesota-based trap shooter Peter S. “Pete” Walker has spent approximately three decades in the shooting sports, including roughly 15 years of serious competition.
Trapshooting is a family affair for Pete. He shoots alongside his wife, Dawn, and family, while competing across singles, handicap and doubles.
Pete is known for his consistency from the back fence and for mentoring other competitors both on and off the line.
Six-Time
All-American.
Pete earned All-American selections in 2020, 2022 and 2023, followed by First Team selections in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Career
Highlights.
Pete's record includes Grand American championships, Central Zone titles, state championships, Satellite Grand trophies and extensive success from the 27-yard line.
Three event Grand Slams and four Grand American event championships.
Trap & Field Handicap Champion, Krieghoff Handicap Champion and Super 500 Handicap Champion with a 489/500.
2021 High All Around Champion and 2024 Singles Champion.
12× State Team member, 2024 Captain, three-time State Champion, 2015 Doubles Champion and 2021 & 2023 HOA Champion.
Multiple trophies at the Spring, Southwest and Heartland Grands, including multiple Event Champion finishes.
Titles include Nevada State NR Doubles, Wisconsin State NR Handicap, Arizona State NR HOA and Iowa State NR Singles.

From 27 Yards In 19 Days.
In 2023, Pete recorded three 100s from the 27-yard line within a 19-day span across Wisconsin, Iowa and the Grand American. He has remained on the 27-yard line since 2012 without taking a reduction.
