Kiwi High Contrast – Enhanced Target Registration for Flat Grey Light
The 53 KIWI lens is engineered from one of Pilla’s most successful low-light filtration curves — the 92CIL — and optimized for medium-light conditions. This updated spectral profile is specifically built for flat grey, low-contrast environments, where the target can visually “wash out” against the background and become difficult to track.
In this lighting, ambient brightness and lens hue often match, causing the eye to lose critical detail like flight path, distance, and trajectory. The 53 KIWI filter solves this by introducing a stronger, more defined color profile that restores target separation and depth.
